Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.
2012, Aluminum mesh, steel bracing, led light strings, surge protectors, video projection of a scrolling led sign, ( see VIDEO). Life sized, 24 x 96 x 70 H.
I envisioned TGOCYTC to be installed somewhere on 5th Avenue in New York City during the Christmas holiday. A reflection on consumption, empathy (or lack thereof,), injustice, but it could also be a spectre confronting the viewer and perhaps even moving the viewer to question his/her own practices. Confronted by the Ghost Of Christmas Yet to Come, Dicken’s Scrooge asked of the Spectre “Assure me that I may yet change these shadows that you have shown me by an altered life”
